The founder of Saber Cycle is a former Canadian dealer from Winnipeg, Manitoba who can personally attest to the fact that many Canadian dealers, from 1964 and 1985, were misregistering bikes. It was general practice because there was no title system in Canada to keep the records correct at that time.
We suspect most of these model registration errors have been discovered over the years but we still come across an occasional customer who orders parts that don't fit due to unintentional model misidentification. Bike models can easily be identified according to the serial numbers on the frame and engine.
WHERE TO FIND YOUR VIN, CARBURETOR IDS, ENGINE, FRAME AND FINAL DRIVE SERIAL NUMBERS?
