The power consumed, P, is related to the operating voltage, V, and the current drawn, I, in the following equation: Power(P) = Voltage(V) x Current(I)
To find the current drawn, simply divide the power by the operating voltage.
Example:
In the United States, most household appliances work at 110 Volts so you would divide the wattage by 110 to arrive at the current or amps.
Given that 110 = 100 watts x I then 100 / 110 = .90 amps
