Our website store uses browser "cookies" for customer sessions. A cookie is a small file stored by the browser which can only be read by the same server that set it. It does not store sensitive information, such as credit card numbers or passwords.
Shoppers
When a customer adds products to the shopping cart, a cookie will associate the customer with that particular shopping cart. This allows the customer to return the next day to the cart. If the customer has cookies disabled on browser, the shopping cart will be linked to the customer's IP address. The cookie will be used to remind the customer of the pending order and expiration in 3 days. The cookie is deleted when the order is placed.
Registered Customers
When a registered customer logs in, a session cookie is created that identifies the customer. This "session" cookie will expire when the customer closes their browser, or when there is inactivity for an extended period of time, or when the customer completes the order.
Order Process
A cookie is stored when a customer selects country and postal/zip code on the shopping cart page then clicks on Checkout. This allows the website to "remember" the customer's selections if they return to the store to add more items or to the shopping cart to make adjustments. Our website deletes the cookie when the order is placed.
Another cookie is set when a customer enters their shipping and billing information on the Billing screen and clicks Submit This Order. It contains the billing address and the shipping address if a separate one is used and will never contain credit card information. This cookie is set to expire when the order is placed.
Tracking
Our website uses Google Analytics and Zendesk Help Desk tracking code throughout the website store to track customer activity throughout a site. Google collects what incident referred the visitor to the site, such as product search or marketing ad, country of origin, time spent on the site and browser and device used. Zendesk collects the IP address and products being viewed and time spent on the website. This information allows us the opportunity to launch a chat session to provide assistance to the visitor.
