Use an antifreeze that is free of silicate coolant as it can be corrosive in a Japanese cooling system and may reduce the life of the water pump. Phosphates have replaced the silicates which is not an issue in North America but is not allowed in Europe due to the high mineral content of the water.
Honda antifreeze is 50/50 coolant and water. Most antifreeze brands have gone with OAT (Organic Acid/Additive) Technology) antifreeze which contains corrosion inhibitors and protection. Always check the label to see if the antifreeze contains silicates.
